'RuPaul's Drag Race UK: All Stars' to Launch on WOW Presents Plus

The beloved franchise shifts from BBC to WOW Presents Plus for its All Stars season. Set to debut in Fall 2027, this transition follows recent cuts by the BBC, as reported by Variety.

The popular reality competition, "RuPaul’s Drag Race UK," is transitioning away from its original home on the BBC to the streaming service WOW Presents Plus. This move has been confirmed by Variety, following previous reports from The Sun that indicated the BBC was making budget cuts which would affect the show's airing. Anticipation is building as the All Stars edition of the franchise is scheduled for release in Fall 2027. This new direction marks a significant shift for the show, which has garnered a dedicated fanbase since its inception. Moving to WOW Presents Plus, the franchise aims to expand its reach and accessibility to audiences who prefer streaming content. Fans can expect the same level of charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent from the returning queens. The All Stars format is known for bringing back beloved contestants from previous seasons, allowing them another opportunity to showcase their skills and compete for the crown. This development underscores the broader trend in the television industry where traditional broadcasters are losing content to streaming platforms, reflecting changing viewer habits. The show's move to WOW Presents Plus is not only a significant step for its future but also illustrates the evolving landscape of entertainment delivery.
