The Taiwan Creative Content Agency and the Museum of the Moving Image are building upon a previous fruitful alliance, forging a new three-year agreement to showcase Taiwanese immersive experiences in New York. This expanded collaboration follows a successful earlier exhibition in 2025 which, according to Variety, attracted over 3,000 viewings and frequently reached nearly full daily attendance capacity. The renewed partnership is set to commence with the presentation of two distinct works at MoMI. These initial installations will be accessible to the public until September 6th. The first piece, titled 'Proof of Stake,' is an interactive journey developed by Hsin-Chien Huang. This particular artwork was previously honored with the Grand Prize in the NewImages Festival’s XR competition. The second offering is 'The Reminiscence Garden,' a collaborative effort between Gabo Yeh and We Are Open. This creation also garnered recognition, receiving an honorable mention at the esteemed Sandbox Immersive Festival. Both pieces highlight the diverse and innovative approaches being taken in Taiwanese immersive art. This extended cooperation between TAICCA and MoMI underscores a growing international interest in immersive storytelling and virtual reality art forms. The sustained success of these collaborations suggests an appreciative audience in New York for these unique cultural experiences. The agencies involved hope to continue fostering cross-cultural artistic exchange and providing a platform for emerging and established Taiwanese artists. The initiative reflects a broader trend of cultural institutions worldwide embracing new technologies to engage audiences and present artistic content in novel ways. The commitment to a multi-year partnership demonstrates confidence in the lasting appeal and artistic merit of the works being presented, and promises a continued stream of cutting-edge immersive art for New York audiences.
