The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange saw a favorable close to its trading activities, with key indices registering increases. The TA 35, a prominent benchmark, advanced by nearly half a percent, indicating a generally optimistic investor sentiment following the day's transactions. According to Investing.com, the upward trajectory was supported by strong performances across various segments of the market. Notably, the banking and real estate industries were among the leading contributors to these gains, showcasing particular strength as the day progressed. Conversely, the technology hardware and software sectors experienced declines, offsetting some of the broader market's positive movement. Contributing significantly to the TA 35's rise were several individual stocks. Among these, Azrieli Group Ltd. saw an impressive increase of over 2.5%, while Ormat Technologies Inc. and Israel Discount Bank Ltd. Class A also recorded substantial gains, each climbing by more than 2%. These individual stock performances played a vital role in the overall index's positive finish. On the other side of the market, some companies faced downward pressure. Nova Measuring Instruments Ltd. experienced a notable drop of over 2.5%. Similarly, LivePerson Inc. and Energean Oil & Gas PLC also saw their share prices decrease, contributing to the list of decliners during the session. The overall market breadth reflected this mixed activity, with a larger number of advancing issues compared to those that declined. Out of 468 traded stocks, 275 saw their prices rise, while 170 experienced a fall. The remaining 23 stocks closed unchanged, underscoring a dynamic trading environment. Key commodity markets also showed some movement. Crude oil futures for September delivery posted a slight increase, trading above $82 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for October delivery also edged higher, nearing $86 a barrel. Gold futures, a traditional safe-haven asset, saw a modest decline, settling just above $1946 an ounce.
