Ehsan Osuli, who serves as the spokesperson for the Iranian Football Federation (FFIRI), conveyed this information to Mehr news agency on Wednesday. Osuli clarified that while the federation had previously taken responsibility for distributing tickets specifically to Iranian fans, this role has now been removed from its purview. The official explained that FIFA, the international governing body of football, will now manage the sale of these tickets directly to supporters. Fans interested in attending the matches will need to purchase their tickets through FIFA's official portal. Osuli further mentioned that the Iranian federation is actively cooperating with FIFA to address concerns regarding the ticketing situation. He revealed that the FFIRI had formally requested an explanation from FIFA concerning the decision to revoke their allotted tickets. The federation is seeking clarification on the rationale behind this unexpected measure, particularly given the proximity to the tournament's start. Iran is scheduled to participate in Group B of the World Cup. Their opening match is set against England on November 21. Following this, they will face Wales on November 25, and conclude their group stage fixtures against the United States on November 29. All of Iran's group stage contests are slated to take place at the Al Rayyan Stadium in Qatar. The situation has created uncertainty for Iranian fans planning to attend the World Cup, as the method for securing tickets has abruptly shifted.
