A significant new partnership is poised to bring a collection of Vietnamese original miniseries to international markets. Skyline Media, an international sales agent based in Vietnam, has joined forces with the streaming platform Galaxy Play, a move that will see Galaxy Play's exclusive productions distributed worldwide for the first time. According to Variety, this agreement designates Skyline Media as the exclusive global sales representative for more than 20 original miniseries developed by Galaxy Play. The collaboration was announced during the DANAFF Industry Days, an event held as part of the fourth Danang Asian Film Festival. Several titles are highlighted as key offerings in this new international catalog. Among them are a martial arts-focused production titled "Brothers for Life," an adaptation of a popular web novel, and "Thousand Dollar Baby," a romantic comedy series. Other notable series include "Sugar Daddy & Sugar Baby," a drama exploring complex relationships, and "The Last of Us," which coincidentally shares a title with a well-known international series but is a distinct Vietnamese creation centering on a post-apocalyptic narrative. Further productions available through this deal encompass "Bloody Rose," a crime thriller, "House of No Man," a mysterious offering, "Ginger’s Wedding," a romantic drama, and "The Quiet Killer," another suspenseful title. These works represent a diverse range of genres and storytelling approaches originating from Vietnamese creators. Variety reports that the alliance underscores a growing interest in bringing content from Vietnam to a broader international audience. This initiative could open new avenues for Vietnamese filmmakers and storytellers to showcase their work and cultural perspectives on a global stage, attracting new viewers and fostering cross-cultural appreciation for their productions.
