Amazon’s home security brand, Blink, has expanded its product line with the introduction of two new video doorbells, both boasting 2K resolution capabilities. These devices, known as the Blink Wired Doorbell 2K+ and the Blink Battery Doorbell 2K+, mark an upgrade in image clarity for the company's offerings.
According to The Verge, the wired variant is currently available for purchase on Amazon at a price point of $49.99. However, information released directly by Blink suggests a starting price of $39.99 for the wired model, indicating potential variations or promotional offers.
For consumers preferring a wire-free installation, the battery-operated option is priced at $69.99. This particular cost applies to users who already possess a compatible Blink sync module. For new customers requiring the complete setup, the Blink Battery Doorbell 2K+ is offered as a bundle including the necessary sync module for $79.99.
Both new models represent Blink’s continued effort to provide accessible and effective home surveillance solutions. The increased 2K resolution is expected to deliver sharper and more detailed video footage, enhancing the ability to identify visitors or monitor package deliveries.
The strategic pricing and dual options (wired and battery) allow for broader consumer appeal, catering to different installation preferences and existing smart home setups. This release positions Blink to further compete in the crowded but growing market for smart home security devices.
