Moody's Investors Service has confirmed its existing credit ratings for ZoomInfo Technologies, signaling a period of cautious observation for the market intelligence firm. The affirmation reflects Moody's current assessment of ZoomInfo's financial health and operational stability, even as the analytical agency points to potential headwinds concerning the company's top-line growth. The credit ratings, specifically the Ba3 Corporate Family Rating (CFR) and the Ba3-PD Probability of Default Rating (PDR), remain unchanged. Additionally, the senior secured first-lien revolving credit facility and term loan have both been affirmed at a Ba2 rating. The senior secured second-lien term loan also saw its rating maintained at B1, according to Investing.com. Driving Moody's decision are several factors, including the company's substantial leverage figures. The debt-to-EBITDA ratio, using a Moody's-adjusted calculation, is noted as being elevated at approximately 5.0x for the twelve-month period concluding September 30, 2023. This metric is a key indicator of a company's ability to cover its debt obligations. While ZoomInfo previously experienced robust revenue increases, the outlook suggests a moderation in this area. A significant portion of the company’s business model involves expansion within its existing customer base, a strategy that may face challenges in the present economic climate. The anticipated deceleration in revenue growth is a primary concern for the rating agency. Despite these reservations, Moody's acknowledges ZoomInfo's strong market position and its solid recurring revenue streams. The company's established presence in the business information sector and its ability to generate consistent income through subscriptions are viewed as positive attributes. However, these strengths are currently balanced against the pressures of high leverage and slower projected growth. The stable outlook assigned to the ratings indicates that Moody's expects ZoomInfo's credit profile to remain consistent over the near term, provided no unforeseen significant changes occur in its operational or financial landscape.
