CPI Card Group has announced its financial outcomes for the initial quarter of 2026, revealing substantial improvements in both its top and bottom lines. This period saw the company achieve notable success, with advancements in revenue reaching $102.7 million and adjusted EBITDA climbing to $19.8 million. These figures represent a marked increase compared to the corresponding period in the previous year. The firm specializing in payment card production experienced a 4.1% rise in net sales year-over-year, alongside a significant 22.2% increase in adjusted EBITDA, according to Yahoo Finance. This positive trajectory underscores effective operational strategies and a healthy market reception for their products and services. Driving much of this growth was the expansion within its credit and debit card division, which witnessed a 7.7% uplift in sales. This particular segment has been a consistent performer, reflecting ongoing demand in the financial services sector for CPI Card Group's core offerings. Additionally, the prepaid card sector, often characterized by its dynamic nature, also contributed positively to the overall revenue, experiencing a 13.3% increase in net sales for the quarter. Profitability metrics further illustrate the company's strong performance, with the GAAP net income reaching $6.3 million, or $0.55 per diluted share. This represents a substantial improvement from the $3.2 million, or $0.27 per diluted share, reported in the prior year's first quarter. The adjusted net income similarly saw a healthy rise to $8.8 million, or $0.77 per diluted share, up from $5.3 million, or $0.45 per diluted share. The improved financial health is also reflected in the company’s cash flow. Net cash provided by operating activities surged to $15.5 million, a significant leap from $2.7 million in the first quarter of 2025. This robust cash generation supported various business needs, including capital expenditures, which stood at $1.5 million for the quarter. Looking ahead, CPI Card Group has reiterated its financial outlook for the entire fiscal year 2026. The company anticipates net sales to fall within the range of $410 million to $430 million, with adjusted EBITDA projected to be between $70 million and $80 million. This forward-looking guidance signals continued confidence in their market position and strategic initiatives.
