Ed Sheeran's Concerts at Gillette Stadium Canceled Amid Weather Warnings

Two concerts by Ed Sheeran in Massachusetts have been canceled due to expected severe weather from a nor'easter. The decision follows objections from stadium owner Robert Kraft over prior remarks made by a former opening act.

Ed Sheeran has announced that his scheduled performances at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, for tonight and tomorrow have been canceled. The decision comes amid forecasts of a nor'easter poised to impact the East Coast, raising concerns about safety and logistics for the events. Fans were prepared to enjoy the shows, but weather conditions have forced the cancellation, ensuring the safety of attendees and staff. According to the Hollywood Reporter, this decision also reflects broader complications related to the concert's lineup. Previously, Macklemore, who was set to open for Sheeran, made remarks supporting the "Free Palestine" movement, which sparked objection from stadium owner Robert Kraft. Following these controversial statements, Macklemore was removed from the tour, adding another layer of complexity to the concert series. Sheeran, known for his chart-topping hits and engaging live performances, had built considerable anticipation for the concerts. This cancellation marks a disappointing turn for fans who were excited to see one of today's most popular artists perform live.
