Xometry, a digital platform connecting buyers with manufacturers for custom parts, recently disclosed its performance figures for the first three months of 2026. The company navigated a complex economic environment, with some operational areas showing strength and others encountering headwinds.
According to Yahoo Finance, the company's overall revenue trajectory illustrated a nuanced picture, experiencing an upward trend in certain sectors while observing a downturn in others. This period saw the firm’s total sales grow by 4 percent over the previous year, reaching $112.5 million. This figure slightly exceeded the consensus estimates from analysts, who had projected $112 million.
Despite this revenue growth, Xometry reported a net loss of $25.5 million for the quarter. This translates to a loss of $0.52 per share, which was wider than the $0.46 per share loss anticipated by market watchers. The company’s Adjusted EBITDA for the quarter stood at a negative $7.1 million, falling short of the positive $1.2 million recorded in the same period last year.
The marketplace division, which connects customers with suppliers, generated $96.8 million in revenue, marking an increase of 4 percent compared to the prior year. However, the supplier services unit, offering financial and other tools to manufacturers, experienced a decline, with revenue falling 9 percent to $15.7 million.
Geographically, North America saw its revenue expand by 3 percent, reaching $85 million. International operations demonstrated more robust growth, with revenue climbing 10 percent to $27.5 million. The average order value for the quarter was $2,308.
Xometry’s management discussed the evolving conditions within the custom manufacturing sector, emphasizing ongoing investments in artificial intelligence and automation to enhance its platform and operational efficiencies. They highlighted that demand for certain types of custom parts remained robust, particularly in aerospace and defense, while other industrial sectors showed softer activity.
Looking ahead, Xometry provided guidance for the second quarter of 2026, anticipating revenue to be in the range of $114 million to $116 million. For the full fiscal year 2026, the company projects total revenue between $470 million and $480 million. The company also reiterated its long-term financial targets, aiming for sustained revenue growth and improved profitability.
